About the artwork

A dense city skyline sits across the middle of Colours Of My Town | Abstract Cityscape Painting, built from stacked rectangles and thin vertical lines. White, rust, ochre, olive, gray, and black gather in the upper band, while the lower half drops into deep green and near black, so the brighter blocks read like windows or towers against a heavy field. The paint looks dragged, scraped, and pressed on in layers, with thick patches beside thinner stained areas, and several long drips fall straight down through the dark ground, which makes the surface feel raw at a glance and uneven in raking light. And this picture wants space around it because the horizontal spread and dark lower mass could crowd a narrow wall, while a larger living room, office, or entry can hold the weight of that central band. The strongest fact in the image is the bright, broken strip of city forms suspended above a broad black green base and crossed by falling paint lines.
