About the artwork

A serene mood settles over the image because the seated Ganesha is centered, balanced, and held against a pale mint ground with open space around the figure. The painting uses fine brush lines, flat areas of color, and small ornamental marks on the crown, jewelry, and garments. Soft shading rounds the face, arms, and legs, while the instrument is drawn with darker brown detail that gives the middle of the image more pull. And the title Melody Of Devotion fits the visible action, since the deity is shown playing a bowed string instrument while the upper hands lift two pink lotus flowers. The figure sits frontally with crossed legs and multiple arms spread in a stable arc, so it will read clearly from across a room even though the hands, bracelets, and sash add plenty of small visual activity. Green skin, yellow drapery, pink flowers, and red cloth accents keep the palette light and ceremonial without turning crowded. The surface appears smooth and matte, with little visible thickness in the paint.

Vikrant Karyakarte

I am Vikrant P. Karyakarte, a professional artist with over 14 years of experience. Painting has been my passion since childhood and my chosen profession. For me, painting is not just applying colour on canvas; it is a way to express what I see, feel, and think. I work across subjects and styles, especially nature, animals, vehicles, and Lord Ganesha. I have also created historical series on Shivcharitra, the Goa Inquisition, and Aryabhatta. My works have been exhibited in India and abroad.
