Tiger Pair in the Forest

A tiger sits upright in the grass. The animal is the whole subject here, with its striped face and front chest lit clearly while fallen wood, scrub, and thin trunks hold the rest of the scene back. It is placed left of center with open ground stretching across the right side, so the frame feels watchful and slightly tense as the eye moves through blurred stems in the foreground. The photography uses a shallow depth of field and selective focus, which keeps the tiger crisp against a soft woodland backdrop, and the long horizontal crop gives the still pose more space than a tight wildlife portrait would. And the palette stays muted through olive green, brown, dry beige, and black striped orange, with light catching the fur and leaving the surrounding brush in softer shadow. This is a color wildlife photograph with a smooth printed surface look.
