About the artwork

This works best at medium to large scale on a pooja room wall, a hallway niche, or a living room section that can handle a saturated red field. Ganesha The Divine Flutist centers a four-armed Ganesha in a seated pose, with a flute across the body and pink lotus flowers lifted in both outer hands. The figure is the whole image. There is no surrounding setting. The palette is built on a flat, intense red background against pale blue skin, warm gold clothing, and small strands of red and white ornament, while a dark sash and deep maroon drape cut across the middle and keep the body from blending into the ground. Very still. The handling looks careful and controlled, with thin outlines, even color areas, and small repeated details in the jewelry, crown, and fingers that read clearly from a few feet away, and the surface appears matte and smooth instead of thick or visibly brushed. But this isn't quiet in color, so it can overpower a cramped wall with busy furniture or patterned wallpaper. It suits a clean wall where the centered body, the flute, and the bright red field can hold attention. The strongest fact is the pale blue Ganesha set sharply against a solid red background.

Vikrant Karyakarte

I am Vikrant P. Karyakarte, a professional artist with over 14 years of experience. Painting has been my passion since childhood and my chosen profession. For me, painting is not just applying colour on canvas; it is a way to express what I see, feel, and think. I work across subjects and styles, especially nature, animals, vehicles, and Lord Ganesha. I have also created historical series on Shivcharitra, the Goa Inquisition, and Aryabhatta. My works have been exhibited in India and abroad.
