About the artwork

The Revolutionist Illusion has two figures, both in deep blue, riding a white horse through what feels more like a dream than a real place. There's a small pot with foliage growing out of it near the bottom, which seems out of place at first, but that's kind of the point — nothing here is meant to add up neatly. The background is this abstract gold, almost glowing, which pulls your eye away from the figures every so often and back again. It's less a painting you decode and more one you sit with, thinking about change, ideals, and how much of what we chase is actually real. Works well somewhere you want people to slow down and actually look, not just glance at on the way past.
