Sunset At Beach

Deep red, chalky white, and heavy blue shift the room's light toward a cooler, darker register, while the broad pale torso keeps the image from closing in completely. The subject is a single female-coded figure in a red slip dress, shown from the chest up with a face pushed into distortion by black hollows and brushed red stains. The body reads clearly, yet the head refuses a stable expression. But that friction is the point in The Identity, where a familiar portrait format holds an image that feels damaged, masked, or erased. The figure is planted in the center and cropped close, with red on the left and dark blue on the right acting like flat walls around it, which makes the white body seem pressed forward into the viewer's space. Thin blue branchlike lines on the right shoulder add a brittle note. Brushwork stays visible across the dress, the face, and the vertical bands, with dragged paint, soft-edged blending, and scraped transitions that leave the surface uneven at a glance and slightly raw in feeling. And the palette does most of the emotional labor: iron red, bone white, dirty mauve, electric blue, and near black. The strongest fact is still the face, where three dark voids sit inside a pale head above a second dark circle sunk into the red chest.

I am a contemporary painter exploring the relationship between emotion, identity, memory, and inner space. Through oil painting, I combine expressive figures, abstraction, and elements inspired by Indian culture. My work reflects personal experiences and psychological landscapes, often focusing on vulnerability, transformation, and the tension between what we feel and what we reveal.
