About the artwork

Two forms rise from the canvas in black and white, built up in thick, sculptural acrylic. Between them, the empty space does as much work as the paint. That gap is the subject of the piece. The artist uses contrast and negative space to describe how relationships hold across distance and change. Nothing in the composition tries to close the gap. The forms stay separate and still read as a pair. The monochrome palette keeps the painting clean and contemporary. The texture adds depth you only notice up close, so the piece changes as you move toward it. Where it works Living room or bedroom: a quiet focal wall in a modern, neutral interior Home office or study: minimalist art that adds depth without distraction Boutique offices and hospitality spaces: understated sophistication in a restrained palette Gifting: a considered choice for couples, housewarmings and anniversaries
