About the artwork

Two figures stand together in a flowering grove, with Radha touching Krishna's chin in a close devotional scene. The technique is consistent with Madhubani Art from the title, using flat areas of color, dark outlines, repeated leaves, and a surface packed edge to edge with small floral motifs. Radha Krishna Leela is built around the paired figures, whose jewelry, garments, and stylized faces carry more attention than depth or shadow, and the ornamental background keeps the eye moving because nearly every open space is filled with branch, leaf, or blossom. The placement is centered and frontal. Both bodies occupy the middle of the frame with only a narrow margin above and around them. And the symmetry is loose rather than exact, since the figures mirror each other in scale while their colors and gestures stay distinct. The palette is bright and varied, with blue skin, green and violet clothing, orange drapery, red flowers, and a warm yellow ground. The strongest visual fact is the dense lattice of green vines and red orange blossoms surrounding the blue figure at the center.

Madhura Krishnakumar

Painting is my passion. Painting fills me with energy while at the same it relaxes and soothes me. Initially I learnt it as a hobby but I found it so interesting that I kept on learning new & different techniques of different cultures. Soon I started decorating my house with my paintings. I prefer painting God, Goddesses and Nature as I believe there is a divine power all around us and I want to see this power in a tangible form.
