About the artwork

This photograph uses a straightforward landscape technique, with a dark tree held in silhouette at the left edge and the distant valley exposed for the last light of day. The mark making is optical rather than painted, so edges stay clean where the ridgelines overlap and soften where haze pushes the far cliffs back. Warm orange and pale gold gather near the horizon, while blue gray shadows fill the slopes and the water below. A few clouds hold faint peach tones. The subject is a broad mountain valley with a winding strip of water and the sun sitting low near the ridge line. In Photograph, the tree mass on the left acts like a visual counterweight to the open sky, and the bright sun keeps the eye from drifting out of the frame too quickly. So the scene reads wide and quiet, even with strong contrast between the dark foreground and the lit band of sky. The photographic surface appears smooth and without visible handworked texture.

Parth Sable

I’m Parth Sable, an architect based between Dapoli and Pune, Maharashtra. My love for photography comes from my curiosity to observe and capture the world around me. I enjoy photographing landscapes, architecture, and wildlife, with a focus on light, composition, textures, and the character of a place. Living close to the Konkan landscape constantly inspires me to explore, travel, and capture fleeting moments through my lens.
