About the artwork

A moody stillness settles over the image because the surface is dark, scraped, and packed with heavy raised marks. The technique reads as layered mixed media, with thick passages, rubbed edges, and carved lines pressed into a central rectangle. Circular seal-like forms sit against ridged bands of script, and the relief catches light unevenly across the rough skin of the work. Some areas look almost scorched. Others appear wiped back to a lighter brown, which gives the title Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18 a material, worn presence instead of a clean graphic finish. The palette stays close to rust, umber, black, and muted clay tones. Red traces move through the center like narrow veins, while pale patches at the border keep the field from turning flat and closed. The subject is spiritual but remains abstract in presentation, built from text-like markings, medallion shapes, and a weathered panel structure instead of a figure or scene. And that makes it strongest where the wall around it is simple and the light is angled, so the raised texture can show across the surface. Place it on an accent wall with breathing room, ideally in a pooja room, study, or quiet hallway rather than beside glossy glass or dense patterned decor.

With over 15 years of artistic practice, my work is deeply inspired by travels across India's heritage and ancient sites, where I study architecture, spirituality, and the symbols of the Indus Valley Civilization. Trained in Fine Arts (ATD & GD Art), I use rollers, textured layers, and acrylic or oil washes to create abstract compositions that blend history, sacred energy, and contemporary expression into powerful visual narratives.
