About the artwork

Inspired by the enduring power of symbols, Abstract Signs and Symbols | Symbolic Abstract Canvas Ar transforms ancient visual language into a contemporary artistic expression. A prominent spiral anchors the composition, representing continuity, evolution, and the cyclical nature of existence, while surrounding symbolic forms evoke themes of creation, transformation, and universal consciousness. Hand-painted in oil on canvas, the artwork features layered earthy pigments, weathered textures, and expressive mark-making that recall archaeological surfaces and sacred inscriptions. Rather than depicting recognizable imagery, the composition encourages personal interpretation, inviting viewers to discover meaning through its symbolic vocabulary. Balancing spirituality with modern abstraction, this original painting is an engaging focal point for contemporary interiors and curated art collections.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Shibuji Nathan

Shibuji Nathan

With over 15 years of artistic practice, my work is deeply inspired by travels across India's heritage and ancient sites, where I study architecture, spirituality, and the symbols of the Indus Valley Civilization. Trained in Fine Arts (ATD & GD Art), I use rollers, textured layers, and acrylic or oil washes to create abstract compositions that blend history, sacred energy, and contemporary expression into powerful visual narratives.
