About the artwork

A dark vertical mass sits near the center and upper middle, with smaller streaks and pooled passages spreading across the full surface. The image stays abstract, though the title Abstract Rainforest fits the way the forms read like wet bark, runoff, and dense growth seen through rain. Black, charcoal, taupe, and muddy gray dominate, while sharp lines of yellow green cut through the darker field and pull the eye to the left edge, center, and right side. The technique appears to be textured acrylic painting, with marbled veining, poured passages, and long drips that run downward in uneven threads, and one longer sentence helps the surface feel heavier because the dark paint seems to sink while the green rides on top in narrow, electric seams. Some areas look thin and fluid. Others appear ridged and built up. And the surface reads matte to lightly satin, with visible texture and drag in the acrylic paint.
